"Coach Brown, has proven to be a awesome resource for me in my pursuit for a college job.  I immediately laid out a plan following his Fast Track program.  I would recommend this program to any coach looking to move to the next level."

If you ever day dreamed about walking the sidelines of the NCAA tournament this course is for you. Randy Brown outlines five key factors to making that dream a reality. The course offers something for everyone; from the daydreamer, to the relentless researcher to the former player. Coach Brown is a wealth of knowledge of all the ins and outs of coaching, so even if you think you know it all, I promise you will still learn several insights that will help make your dreams a reality.
But most importantly, Fast Track is just that, an introduction. It’s your first step on the coaching ladder. This is where your dream begins to change into a reality. For many it will only ignite your fire further to make your dreams come true, as it did for me. But, just as importantly, it can also help you figure out that this occupation just may not be the right fit for you and your life.
Overall, I’d highly recommend Coach Brown’s Fast Track. In a game characterized by wins and losses this is a rare win-win.

The amount of knowledge I've gained from your program is invaluable! I could literally not find a program like this anywhere else.
You deserve a lot of credit for pushing us out of our comfort zones, your techniques in reaching coaches and obviously you name carries a lot of weight in the coaching community!
Justin Zachary

Believe me when I say that being a college basketball coach is something that is on my mind all day every day. You have been a tremendous help, and I look forward to building on our relationship.
Adam Lewites

Thanks again for everything...I have never been so confident about achieving my goal of coaching in college, it’s a great feeling!
That is an amazing collection of information. I loved watching the videos, reading the different paths that coaches took and I'm on Part 3 of the Report. I am going to take the time to finally write down my goals that I have been thinking about for years but never put my plan into motion.
I look forward to talking to you and checking out more of the information that you have available.
Eric Misunas

I love that I'm joining this group this is the best move I've made in a long time. Thanks for your help.

Just wanted to reach out to all my CCN brothers today to let you guys know that yesterday the official announcement came out that I've been hired as an Assistant at the University of North Dakota.
I'm excited and extremely appreciative for the opportunity, that words can't really describe it.
This e-mail is not about me though, I am writing this to say THANK YOU to my good friend and mentor Randy
Brown, without your guidance I would not be where I am today!
RB wasn't expecting me to write this, but I'm really all about giving credit where credit is due. When I got in contact with RB two years ago, I was a 30 year old Canadian coach and former player and all I knew was "I am 110% committed to becoming a College Coach". I knew I would run into a brick wall to do it, but had NO IDEA how to actually do it!
With RB's friendship, guidance on the ins & outs of the business of coaching, the right way to communicate and build genuine relationships, and to always stay focused and determined, I am now on my path...
Friends such as Coach RB, and other phenomenal friends and colleagues that have met along the way (too many great guys to name that I would not want to leave anyone out), have been extremely generous with their time, friendship and knowledge, I would NOT be where I am today without them. Also of course have to say thank you to Brian Jones, my new boss, for giving me a shot!
Thanks to all of my fellow CCN brothers, we are all allies on our journey in this proffession. Don't give up, keep fighting and continue to trust the advice of good hearted teachers and friends and build genuine relationships.
I'm here to help out and give back in any way I can to all of you as well.
Bottom line, thanks RB!
Nate Philippe

I can't thank you enough for all the help you've been giving me and (hopefully) will give me in the future. In one trip, I made five good contacts which is invaluable to the future. While I don't know where I stand as far as helping out next year goes, I still consider the trip a success as I got to see the entire works of a quality D1 program.
Your program is awesome, and it's working.  Thanks a lot!

Mitch Smucker

I apologize for the numerous amounts of emails I have sent you over the past couple days, but I really want to share this with you. After last night’s program, I was so excited that I started reading over all of your documents in the documents collection. I have basically spent the entire day looking at everything on XPS Trainer and I am really excited to start working with you in order to achieve my dream of becoming a college basketball coach. Thank you for running such a great program as well as the numerous hours you put into making the program better. I would also like to thank you for understanding the financial situations of all the young coaches in the program. A top-notch program like this could cost much more, but you keep it at an affordable level! On behalf of the rest of the coaches in the program, I want to say thank you and that we can never repay you for what you are doing for us young coaches!
Karl Sorby

Hey I just got done listening to your live call and I wanted to shoot you an email.  First, I just wanted to tell you how pleased I have been with your program.  I was a bit skeptical at first, but you have made me a true believer in your wholehearted efforts to help us, and in making me a believer that I can reach this dream goal of mine.
Sam Waniewski

Thanks so much I wrote both coach Pearl and coach Forbes of Tennessee a hand written letter and said how I was working with you. I sent the letter around Christmas time. Then I received this yesterday. None of this could of happened without your help. THANKS AGAIN !
Thank you so much again for everything and I can barely sit down I'm so excited to start this journey with you.

"Coach Brown has taught me the valuable lessons of getting my foot in the door in the world of coaching college basketball.  I have learned many effective ways to develop and maintain contacts.  That is the biggest thing I have learned, you need to have contacts because those contacts will tell you of job openings and in the end help you get that next job."
BRIAN WOODHURST

Randy Brown and the College Coach Now Program has giving me a great understanding of what is takes to advance my college coaching profession.  I have worked closely with Randy and the program for over a year, and his program has help me be involved in five Division I job opportunities.  The monthly Teleseminars have helped expand my coaching knowledge, awareness and understanding current news and events within the coaching world. Being involved in the program has most importantly expanded my networking opportunities of college coaches from across the country.  The exceptional effort from Randy and numerous call-ins guests from veteran coaches is a must for young coaches wanting to progress their coaching careers.

The "College Coach Now" program with Coach Randy Brown has tremendously helped me advance my career path in college coaching.  Coach Brown's program has given me great strategies to increase my network and helped me to develop relationships with college coaches all across the country.  Due to the great tips and strategies from this program, I honestly feel I am making big time strides toward my ultimate college coaching goals.  Any young coach with an interest in coaching at the collegiate level should definitely take part in this program in order to gain the upper hand in getting your foot in the door in college coaching.  Coach Brown is a terrific mentor and I have had nothing but great experiences since getting to know him and being a part of the "College Coach Now' program.
BRANDON MULLIS
Assistant Men's Basketball Coach
Davidson County Community College, North Carolina

The program has helped me in several ways.  One, it has helped me to realize the importance of paying attention to detail.  Paying attention to everything I read, everything I see, and everything I'm exposed to that is basketball.  I never know when I may see or hear something that will resonate in my memory.  When interviewing for a job or casually talking to a coach that memory may give me an edge over someone else for a position.  Two, the program has helped me to realize the importance of and better understand networking and developing relationships.  Since beginning the program and learning the bases my network has grown leaps and bounds.  I've learned it is not only important to network, but also to develop those relationships.  Whether it through a monthly phone call or handwritten letter, we should always follow up someway to daily conversations and introductions.  These are the things that help set us apart from our peers.  Third, the program has helped me realize the importance of being proactive.  There are hundreds of thousands of coaches who are looking to advance up the coaching ladder.  We have to know how to set ourselves apart from the competition so we are thought of by name when there is a job opening.

I jumped into the program to be able to hear from and ask questions from Coach RB (who has had a great coaching career) and the many guests (DI head coaches and assistants) we have on the program who are currently in our goal position or are on their way.
CASEY SMALLWOOD
Assistant Coach, Lees-McRae College, North Carolina

This program has helped to keep me motivated and focused on being productive and striving for my coaching goals on a day-to-day basis.  While my time tends to consistently be limited, I have made use of the time I spend in the car by listening to the CCN sessions when traveling to my destinations.
BRIAN KELLY

Dear coach Brown,
I wanted to write you this quick not to thank you for everything you have done for me so far. I am forever indebted to you for opening up my eyes to an endless amount of opportunities I have always dreamed of yet never know how to achieve.
In the short amount of time I have known you, you have showed me so much dedication toward my future goals and that in itself does not give me the option to fail. It means to much to me that you, of all people, believe in me. With my closest support system couple with my own drive to succeed and the fact that a coach of your caliber believes in me, how can I possible fail?
I appreciate all the hard work you put into College Coach Now, and not just toward me, but toward all of us coaches i. It means the world to me to have you as a mentor as well as a major part of my network and I’m looking forward to continuing our work together, Thanks for everything
Coach Ido Singer

Coach Brown,
I can't thank you enough for creating this program and allowing me to be a part of it. The biggest thing I've been looking for over the past 6-12 months is a mentor. Someone to tell me that my goals are possible and give me that extra bit of confidence I need to be aggressive. It's tough protecting and living with a dream inside you and not being able to tell people. Often the people you do tell, tell you information that will discourage you.
I appreciate your time and advice yesterday. Also, can I have your mailing address, so when I feel the need to write, I have it. Letter writing is something I use all the time now, thanks to you.
Thanks & Best Wishes,
Marcus L. Smith

TESTIMONIALS for Coach Randy Brown and the Iowa Player Development Academy

"I have been training elite level basketball players for the last 10 years including Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley. I know first hand how important it is for players to participate in a structured, organized, safe, and progressive strength & conditioning program.  The benefits are invaluable and when coupled with competent basketball skill training, the results will speak for themselves.  I fully endorse Coach Brown's teaching ability and his player development academy."
Alan Stein, Professional Strength & Conditioning Coach
Nike Basketball Training Consultant, McDonald’s All American Game, Nike Skills Academy, Jordan Brand All-American Classic.

“Randy Brown is a coach who has thoroughly studied the game. He couples this with a passion to teach it and help young players to improve and become complete players. If you ever get a chance to attend one of his academies, I high recommend it. You will learn great life lessons and come out a better player and athlete.”
Kevin Eastman, Boston Celtics Assistant Coach, Head Nike Skills Skill Development

“Coach Brown is regarded as one of the best coaches in the country because he's one of the best teachers of the fundamentals of the game of basketball.  He's developed a well-devised checklist of 40 skills to be taught and mastered by his students, and then goes above and beyond providing them with great feedback essential for self improvement.  His unique and innovative skills and drills are a collection from his 30+ years of successful collegiate and HS coaching.  RB has broken the game down to the finest fragment, and does a remarkable job developing each player’s overall game!”
Jeff Stienes, Head Boy’s Coach, South Hamilton HS, Jewell, Iowa

“I’ve watched Randy Brown work with players of all levels including my two sons and daughter. His teaching is detailed and has direct applications to the team game. I am thoroughly impressed with his passion to teach the fundamentals and advanced skills. He has each player fully engaged in the workout and challenges them to improve every drill. I have seen many players, including my own kids, improve with his individual, small and big group workouts.”
Rick Egli, AAU coach & parent, Ankeny, Iowa

"Randy Brown has learned from so many great teachers and was an excellent college coach. His knowledge, confidence and presence on the court can be seen in his Academy workouts. I highly recommend his Academy for any player that desire to reach his maximum potential as a player.”
Tim Floyd, USC Head Basketball Coach

“Coach Randy Brown is a wealth of basketball knowledge and his strengths are geared specifically towards developing the total player.  From identifying and building on weaknesses to implementing position-specific workouts, Coach Brown uses his extensive experience as a Division I college basketball coach to improve players of all skill levels.
His expertise is only out done by his passion for the game.  His high energy spirit, organization, and attention to detail are contagious to any coach or player serious about improving themselves.”
Adam DeJoode, Head Girls Basketball Coach
Southeast Polk High School
Board President, Iowa Basketball Coaches Association

“In my 25 year coaching career I have seen hundreds of practices and workouts. Having witnessed Coach Brown’s player development workouts, I consider him one of the best.
His experience coaching youth in summer camps, coaching in high school and college, and training NBA players, his expertise is proven.
Any young player that wants to set goals and work toward them year round should become a part of the Iowa Player Development Academy run by Coach Randy Brown.
This Academy receives my highest recommendation.”
Greg McDermott
Head Basketball Coach, Iowa State University

"Coach Brown has proven himself over the years to have a unique ability to connect with his players and to teach & coach them to greater and greater levels of excellence.  He demands a lot and motivates young men to be diligent in their approach to the game.  Our son, Jordan, had a very positive experience working with Coach Brown and benefited greatly both in developing as a player but more importantly developing as a young man."
Steve Burgason
Former ISU Basketball Player
Owner of Burgie's Coffee and Tea Company-Ames, Iowa

"Coach Brown has really helped me take my game to the next level through his attention to detail and emphasis on fundamentals. He has taught me how to play basketball the right way."
Vince Greenwald, 9th grade, Ames High School

"Coach RB has a passion for teaching the game of basketball; his focus is on helping kids learn the 'right way to play', always emphasizing the fundamentals of the game. He teaches kids the "small things", which in reality, make a "big difference" on the court. His style of communication is one of constantly encouraging kids to work hard, and practice properly, trying to improve everyday in an attempt to reach their potential. It's refreshing for me, as a father of 3 HS/college athletes, to see him emphasize the process of "getting better", rather than on winning AAU games. Coach RB is a teacher at heart, and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn the game of basketball."
Tom Greenwald, Father

"I have known Randy Brown for close to 40 years and am proud to call him my friend.  Randy has a brilliant basketball mind and is a wonderful teacher of the game.  More importantly, he is a good person with a sincere passion to give back and help others to grow and succeed -- in basketball and in life."
